5 years later....in 1980....The C-Weed
Band's release of
Robbie Robertson's
song "Evangeline"
from their album
entitled "The Finest You Can Buy",
rose to #1
on the Canadian
Country Radio charts! Thus earning
the first of several C-Weed
Band Juno Award nominations.
The opening act for some of country music's greatest - Willy Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Eddie Rabbit, Juice Newton, rockers Nazarath, Canadian legend Trooper just to name a few, The C-Weed Band quickly established its place within the music industry.
18 CD's later......
Errol Ranville (a.k.a. "C-Weed", the band's lead vocalist, song writer, guitarist and band manager) has played an integral part in paving the way for today's Aboriginal musicians, having been one of the first Aboriginal singer/songwriters in Canadian history to have achieved recognition and success spanning almost 3 decades. Far from retirement, Errol and his C-Weed Band continue to perform live shows around the world.

A new C-Weed CD was released on May 21, 2010! The CD, entitled "Magic in the Music" is a long-awaited C-Weed greatest hits album to commemorate the C-Weed Band's 35th Anniversary!
